RB Hop: Blessed Beyond Measure

Welcome!

Rose Blossom Blog Hops travel in a circle. Simply start anywhere along the route. You'll be guided to the next stop with a link near the end of each post leading you to the next hop-stop. Land back where you started and I guarantee you'll end up inspired to create with the
September Stamp of the Month

************************************************

September 2016 Stamp of the Month
"Blessed Beyond Measure:

Available HERE until September 30th

***********************************************

This Stamp of the Month is my 2016 favorite!  Pumpkins, leaves, and sentiments in a beautiful font all inspire me to start creating for Fall and Thanksgiving. This set is perfect for making everything from layouts to mini albums,  pocket cards to greeting cards, tags, and gifts. Who doesn't love that kind of versatility.

Here's my first project using this lovely set:

I love setting a fancy Thanksgiving table complete with handcrafted decor. My settings always include a little box containing a hand rolled truffle and various other goodies from my local Chocolateir. These goodie boxes add just the right touch to each place setting.

This year's edition is cut from the now-retired Artiste Cartridge (page 37 at 3").
I used our newly released Swan Lake Papers and White-Gold Twine along with:

The Swan Lake color palette includes Peacock. I'm looking forward to incorporating a blue tone in my Fall projects for the first time. A little "outside the box" for me and I'm liking it so far!

Thanks for hopping with the Rose Blossoms.
We're always grateful for your support and comments.

We'll be back on September 15th with more paper-love-inspiration!

I'm sending you off to see my friend and team mate SHELLY .... there's always something pretty going on at her stop!

RB Hop: Salt Water Taffy Season!

Welcome!
 and
Happy "SALT WATER TAFFY SEASON"
{one of my summer favorites ...right up there with grilled brats and fireworks!}

With the recent announcement that Close To My Heart will be retiring the current Cricut Collections, we Rose Blossoms want to highlight some Cricut cartridge favorites. If you arrived here from Lynn's Bungalow I just bet you were wow'ed by her cutting edge creativity!

Our blog hops travel in a complete circle so you can start anywhere on the hop ... You'll end off where you started.

Art Philosophy and Artiste have been my go-to cartridges for quick, homemade, fun gifties. These two cartridges, along with coordinating stamp sets, allow me to create party decor, beautiful rolled flowers, banners, mini albums, layout embellishments, and so much more.

This is what happened when I combined Art Phil and Artiste with salt water taffy last week:

Artiste Popcorn Box and Pinwheel
Paper: Calypso
Stamp Set: C1650 "One in a Melon"
Poppy Twine, Mini Clothes Pin, Coral Shimmer Trim

Art Philosophy Basket and Tag made with coordinated stamp
Paper: Florence
Gold Sequins and Shimmer Trim, Blue Glitter Gems

I just might have Disney on my brain as I prepare to leave for the
Annual Close To My Heart Convention next week!

Art Philosophy Pillow Box and Circles {to make the mouse silhouette}
Paper: Magical
Red Enamel heart

Thanks ever so much for hopping with the Rose Blossoms!
We'll be back on July 1st with new Stamp of the Month inspiration.

Your next hop-stop will take you to see SHELLY who specializes in all things pretty!

RB Hop: Live Your Day!

WELCOME!

You likely came by way of Lynn's Bungalow so you're on the right path!
Our hop is easy ... start wherever you'd like and simply hop through until you land where you began.

January is National Papercrafting Month and we're featuring the exclusive
LIVE YOUR DAY Picture My Life program set by Close To My Heart,

Here's a peak at some of the lovely cards in this collection:

20- 4"x 6" and 36- 3"x 4" cards for only $8.95
Available for one month only!

L.o.v.e every one of the cards in this set, but the 3x4 monthly cards really caught my attention. What to, what to do .... pocket scrapping? planner inserts? goal chart? memorabilia files? ...
Aha! How about a handy-dandy perpetual calendar to guide me on my quest to send birthday and anniversary cards this year?!

Voila!

This little cutie now hangs on a card holder in my craft room.
I can take a quick look at who I need to make cards for and create away!
I might even manage to stay ahead of schedule ..... maybe.

I took each monthly 3x4 card and attached the "birthday" list card to other side.
I stamped the dates, added a little extra touch if there was room, then wrote in the names.
I used my short leftover pieces of thick twine to make the tassel, and even added a Base and Bling piece for good measure.

I used bits and pieces of leftover supplies to adorn the the front of each monthly card.
I didn't open a single new package of anything. I had forgotten how fun leftovers can be!

AND, I have 32 more cards from this set left to play with!!

Your next stop is SHELLY at Just One Pretty Piece. You're sure to love what she has in store.
I think I spied some watercolor action going on .... enjoy!

We thank you for hopping with the Rose Blossoms
We'll be back February 1st with some Stamp of the Month inspiration!

RB Blog Hop! Last Minute Gifts

Welcome!
We'd like to thank everyone who has hopped with us in 2015! Your visits, comments, and support has been so appreciated by every Rose Blossom on the Hop. We look forward to bringing you more fun and inspiration as we head into 2016 with a Stamp of the Month Hop on January 1st
*********************

Our hops travel in a circle. Start your journey with any one of us
and end off where you began.
~ Easy ~ Simple ~ Inspiring ~

We're at the half-way mark for December, Sixteen days away from ringing in 2016, and a mere ten from Christmas morning. While my primary gift-shopping is done (thank you online retailers), I still have a few gifts to create for neighbors, friends who drop by, postal carriers, co-workers, couriers, sales reps, and the like.

So what do I do to crank out those last minute gifties?
One solution: I hit my Cricut's "on" button, and go straight to my Artiste Cartridge! It's full of wonderful little gift boxes to tuck goodies into. Like this one:

From cut to finish, this little gem took just under 30 minutes to create.
A touch of bling and some treats from my favorite local chocolate shoppe and done!

Here's another quick and easy trick I use often because it works so well for my UPS, FedEx, Uniform Delivery, Courier sort of guy-type-people. {I make sure my gal-type-people get the pretty pamper kind of gifties!}:

Purchase the large-size candy bars.
{I chose Kit Kats because they have a red wrapper}
{and they were on sale!}
Then, wrap the bars in an 8x10 piece of cardstock.
Dig up some some scraps, bits, and pieces and go to town decorating them up!
Really SUPER easy and you can tuck a gift card underneath the ribbon or twine.
I like using Subway gift cards because it's like buying someone lunch and giving them dessert first!

So there you have it .... a few tricks I have up my sleeve for last minute gift-giving.

Your next stop is SHELLY who has a Pretty Piece to show you.
I was the lucky recipient of one and it was filled with delicious homemade treats to boot.
Lucky me!

Spent a lovely weekend scrapping and creating with a couple of friends and my daughter. Just being able to sit back, chat, laugh, and get pampered with home-cooked meals and stellar hospitality was simply wonderful!

In honor of the upcoming Academy Awards, I thought it would be fun to create swag bags for my weekend companions. The "Better With a Friend" stamp set was perfect for these bookmarks:

Rose Blossom November Blog Hop: Home Decor

+

Welcome to the Holiday Season and to November's Home Decor Blog Hop!

If you came from Lynn's Bungalow (a hard act to follow! love her stuff!) you're on the right path.

Here are your stops along the way:

Thanksgiving is a huge deal in our home. What began as a core family of seven is now a family of seventeen! {add the 6 fur-kids and we have 23!} We are truly blessed and enjoy this day together so much! This is the only family dinner I insist on having everyone seated together and I make sure it's special. Truth be told ... I love setting a table!

Here's a peek at some of what I have in store for my favorite dinner guests:

I love setting a special treat at each place setting and these little Artiste boxes are perfect for the truffles I picked up at my local candy shop. I used each of the beautiful printed papers from the Pathfinding Collection. The boxes are on page 38 and were cut at 4". The Metallic Baker's Twine, Glitter Paper, and Perfect Fit Thanksgiving Stamp Set (B1427) add a touch of shine without taking away from that beautiful paper!

This is what I call "Plate Confetti"! I've been in the market for new dishes but have yet to zero in on a set that really trips my trigger {unless I count the ones that are so far out of my budget it isn't funny!}
So while the search continues, I will use the trusty Corelles that have served my family meals for nearly 30 years (holy-moly-rocky!) I spruce up the table setting by placing themed, random cut, and stamped shapes on the dinner plate. When it's time to dish up, the plate confetti becomes table confetti! Super easy and fun!

The confetti pieces were created using the Harvest Happiness Stamp Set (C1463) and coordinating cuts from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, The large pumpkin was stamped and trimmed from the new "Beyond Measure" stamp (A1160).

Thanks so much for joining our November Blog Hop.

Your comments are welcome and appreciated by all of us and we hope you join us in December.

Thanksgiving Blessings to You and Yours!

Easy Wedding Shower Decor

Just look what happens when I let Close To My Heart product leave my craft room! It becomes party gear! These items were created for a "Couple's Wedding Shower" we hosted for my son and his lovely bride-to-be.

Banner
That is the banner I featured in a recent Rose Blossom Blog Hop.
Get the close-ups and the details HERE!

Card Basket
I used Art Philosophy to cut the banner pieces and Artbooking to cut the letters for this card Basket.
I used the Skylark Scrapbooking Workshop Stamp Set and Cocoa ink to add some "love" directly to the basket. It is tied together using Skylark Textiles and Hemp Twine.

Party Favor Thank You Bags
I stamped these kraft bags (source unknown) with the Skylark WOTG stamp set, added a tag from Art Philosophy, a dab of Gold Dot Washi Tape, a dash of sparkle, and some textile or hemp.

Banner Accents
I used the little dragonfly cut outs from the tags to add a few more embellies to the banner.

Quick Tip
When having to "mass produce" a tag, it's pretty easy to add your stamping before removing the tag from your Cricut mat!

Rose Blossom "Skylark" Blog Hop

HaPPy sPriNg to one and all ....  We're thrilled to have you join us for this round of blog-hoppy fun with the Rose Blossom Team! If you hopped here from Kim R's blog I'm sure you've already been "wowed"! She has the effect on all of us!

Each and every one of the lovely hop stops is sure to inspire you. At the end of the hop you may want to consider joining the team and be part of an incredibly supportive and creative group of paper crafters. We love what we do and new team members are always welcome!

We're focusing on the Skylark collection of papers and embellishments for this hop. Skylark has a quiet elegance that fits our Spring and Summer seasons very well. It can be vintage, romantic, trendy, and even a touch bit sassy!

I have a son getting married in June so I chose Skylark to create this banner for the "Couple's Shower" we're hosting in May.

Supplies used: Art Philosophy and Artbooking Cartridges, Skylark Paper, Skylark Textiles, White Daisy CS, Kraft Paper, D1540 Stamp Set, Sparkles Flourishes, Desert Sand Ink, Liquid Glass

I also used the Skylark Workshop on the Go to make these wedding photo layouts. I just love the stamp set that comes with this workshop!

If stamping isn't your thing {yet} .... here are 2 more layouts that don't have a lick of stamping on them anywhere. These are what we call "Level 2" layouts. I used the Skylark papers, complements, and accessory pack to make these wedding photo-ready layouts:

I'm very much looking forward to this June wedding and it's going to be so fun placing photos on these layouts. I love telling my family's stories and Close To My Heart makes it a joy to create the perfect way to do it!

There's a whole world of Skylark creativity waiting for you too!
