RB Hop: Salt Water Taffy Season!

Welcome!
 and
Happy "SALT WATER TAFFY SEASON"
{one of my summer favorites ...right up there with grilled brats and fireworks!}

With the recent announcement that Close To My Heart will be retiring the current Cricut Collections, we Rose Blossoms want to highlight some Cricut cartridge favorites. If you arrived here from Lynn's Bungalow I just bet you were wow'ed by her cutting edge creativity!

Our blog hops travel in a complete circle so you can start anywhere on the hop ... You'll end off where you started.

Art Philosophy and Artiste have been my go-to cartridges for quick, homemade, fun gifties. These two cartridges, along with coordinating stamp sets, allow me to create party decor, beautiful rolled flowers, banners, mini albums, layout embellishments, and so much more.

This is what happened when I combined Art Phil and Artiste with salt water taffy last week:

Artiste Popcorn Box and Pinwheel
Paper: Calypso
Stamp Set: C1650 "One in a Melon"
Poppy Twine, Mini Clothes Pin, Coral Shimmer Trim

Art Philosophy Basket and Tag made with coordinated stamp
Paper: Florence
Gold Sequins and Shimmer Trim, Blue Glitter Gems

I just might have Disney on my brain as I prepare to leave for the
Annual Close To My Heart Convention next week!

Art Philosophy Pillow Box and Circles {to make the mouse silhouette}
Paper: Magical
Red Enamel heart

Thanks ever so much for hopping with the Rose Blossoms!
We'll be back on July 1st with new Stamp of the Month inspiration.

Your next hop-stop will take you to see SHELLY who specializes in all things pretty!

Blog Hop! Rose Blossoms and Artfully Sent

This month we're featuring Thanksgiving and Christmas Cards from the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.

Oh this is going to be interesting .... {and fun}

The Rose Blossoms are back again this month with a Blog Hop inspired by the new Artfully Sent Cricut Collection from Close To My Heart. Their art is creative and beautifully inspired. These ladies are always a joy to team up with!

The interesting part? Well, when I added my name to the list of hop-stops, I hadn't even opened my new Artfully Sent cartridge let alone create with it yet. The cards I'm featuring for this hop are my very first cuts ...... So let me at it! {insert squeal of delight here}

I'm a fan of snowflakes and the color palette from our new Snowhaven Collection so these card cuts from page 47 of the booklet worked well for me.

The Artfuly Sent Cartridge cuts envelopes and liners as well!

Many of the card cuts can be rotated to create a different look!

This 5x7 card was cut from page 47 as well.
I used the exclusive Snowhaven Card Workshop on the Go stamp set.

Shimmer Trim, Metallic Baker's Twine, Clear Sparkles, and Charm let these cards shine!

Not bad huh? I watched a few videos online just to get an idea of how to navigate the cuts. It wasn't hard at all to figure out how Artfully Sent works. Once I selected the key I wanted to work with, it was easy, I had these cards cut and assembled in no time!

Blog Hop Path ... You'll be inspired every stop along way!

Artbooking: Everyday

I've really been inspired by the current Close To My Heart Idea Book. Every edition is packed full of inspiration ... no wonder so many of us keep each edition handy for those times when we just need a little creative bump!

When I saw the Artbooking layout on page 59 of the Autumn-Winter 2013 Idea Book I knew I just had to recreate it. So .... I did!

I used a combination of the default 11" cuts, fit to length, and real dial size cuts to make the various components.

This layout is a great example of how to make use of the coordinating stamp sets and dimensional elements that come with the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.

Did you know that Close To My Heart has a Video Series called Artbooking Made Easy? Check it out and see what all the buzz is about!

Thanks for stopping by ... have a wonderful week!
