Studio J: Zoe Express Collection

Yep! I'm still on the Zoe kick! Today, I'm featuring scrapbooking of the digital kind. For a limited time, there are five pre-designed Zoe layouts in Studio J. All you have to do is drag and drop your photos into the designated photo wells, add your journaling and voila!, you have a complete layout!

The following layouts were done pretty much straight up "as is" in Studio J. There are some minor adjustments but I kept these layouts easy by sticking with the original design. The whole idea behind Express Collections is to getter-done with no-fuss and beautiful results.

I converted one text box into a photo well and placed a long, single-line text box near the subtitle.

I also resized one photo well to make room for an additional photo well.

Added photo mats.

Removed an embellishment that didn't go with the story behind the photos.

Removed one photo well and re-sized another.

Added the stitched heart on the right hand page.
Replace one photo well with two smaller ones and added photo mats.
Added one additional photo well.

Added vellum to the journal-text box.

Removed one Zoe embellishment that didn't go with the story behind the pics.

Other alterations that can be made include:

Adding photo wells to accommodate more photos per layout

Converting text boxes to photo wells and visa versa
Resizing, relocating, or removing "complement" embellishments
Editing or removing the titles and subtitles
Converting photos from color to B&W or Sephia
Adding accents from the drop down menu: stitching, buttons, brads, staples, etc

Studio J: Yuletide Carol Layouts

Happy to report my Christmas 2014 photos are all scrapped and my story is told, thanks in large part to Studio J's exclusive Yuletide Carol Express Collection.

I used a combination of the pre-designed Studio J layouts, Studio J custom templates, and traditional paper layouts to complete my project.

Studio J: Celebrate Family

A weekend spent in Duluth, MN to celebrate my youngest G-Kid's 2nd birthday made for great memories. I used this Studio J custom layout to experiment with a tone-on-tone title.  I'll be adding some "real" embellishments to this layout when I receive the prints ... can't wait to dig through my stash and see what I come up with! {I'm thinking I have some retired "Tommy" goodies in that bin!}

The "No Limits" option allowed me to make digital pocket style pages to showcase some of the weekend's highlights with the "Confetti Wishes" kit:

Studio J: Are We There Yet?

Look at this adorable {if I may say so myself} Express Collections layout from Studio J! All I did was drag-drop-journal ... seriously! Took, maybe 10-15 minutes to complete start-to-finish:

I spent a little more time on this custom layout. I converted a text/journal box to a photo well, added 2 additional photo wells, a custom title, and a few embellishments. Still, only about 45 minutes spent on this one. Not bad!

So ... in just one hour I added 2 more layouts to my 2014 Year in Review Album!

Another look back at a seemingly short Spring and Summer season here in Minnesota. So glad I have Studio J to tell my 2014 stories!

Studio J Tips:

#1 Add a little something special to your title and journal boxes by moving embellishments back behind the vellum overlay.

#2 Add a pop of dimension to your titles by using the copy / paste feature to create a new layer. Then, change the color of the new layer and off-set one layer behind the other. 

I learned this technique from fellow consultant Amy Ulen.

Studio J: Spring Training

As we glide into Fall it's fun looking back on these last few months and wonder how it is that Spring and Summer just fly by here in Minnesota. Thank goodness for cameras and scrapbooking of all kinds!

Studio J: Lovely Inside and Out

This layout is a snapshot of a wonderful day I spent with my granddaughter this last summer. While I have a ton of photos from that day, I wanted to create a layout that focused on the lovely person my granddaughter has become. I couldn't be prouder or feel more blessed.

Studio J Express Collection allowed me to complete this layout in under 30 minutes. It actually took me longer to select the photos than it did to drag-drop and journal!

This layout will go in my Year in Review 2014 Album. I'll use all the other photos to create a mini album that tells the story about our day together.

Studio J: The Big 3-O

It's become somewhat of a family tradition to go skydiving to celebrate a milestone birthday. Two of our sons (they are step brothers) celebrated their 30th birthdays by taking the plunge from 11,000 feet up!
